One of the 1950s barware holy grail sets! The chrome metal bowling ball with goldtone bowler handle on top opens up to reveal a rotating carousel of shot glasses, in the center is a pump liquor decanter. Amazingly shiny and so retro! Looks like it could have been a trophy for some lucky bowler!
The bottom of the ball is equipped with a pump action cocktail dispenser at the center (sold as untested and nonworking); which is surrounded by a polished chrome rotating carousel collar with six holes each for clear shot glass with a rubbery band to hold it in place, four green and two red; adds a pop of color.
The bowling ball set stands 13" tall as measured to the top of the finial and is 8.5" across at the widest point of the ball.
The shot glasses appear "as new" and stand 2.875" tall. They are 1.75" in diameter at the mouth and 1.25" in diameter at the foot. Each glass has a 1 oz capacity.
The set is in good vintage condition, signs of age consisting of minor wear to the finish on the metal bowler finial and minor scuffs on the ball itself. The black metal base has finish loss, adds heft to the set and elevates it to a nice level. The dispenser is untested and sold in nonworking condition. The item is sold for display only.
Amazing find and a nice addition to the retro barware collection! Let's go bowling!
