Midcentury Metal and Lucite Metal Basketweave Purse

An amazing metal basketweave purse circa 1950s with a lucite top and handle. Fine metal hardware, the shiny metal handbag was created by the Dorset Rex Company. The purse is in very good vintage condition, still shiny, with very minimal surface scratching, no chips or cracks. The peach satin interior is in good vintage condition with fraying at the bottom of the purse, and an interior tear on one side, with interior pocket and original tag, evidence of use. The lucite lid in in a strayed gray color, works well withe the silver metal hardware. Clear lucite handle attached with metal hardware. The stunning purse measures approximately 7 1/2" tall without handle, add 4" to top of handle, 8 1/2" wide x 5 1/4" deep.
