Vintage Crystal Paperweight by Web Corbett of England

A vintage art glass "Star" optic paperweight from Webb Corbett (later Royal Doulton) of Great Britain, circa 1970. The faceted weight is cased within a purple/amethyst layer of glass and skillfully cut to clear. The hollow facets on the upper surface and the star cut base reflect light like a diamond, giving the paperweight a dynamic appearance from every angle. The paperweight is in good condition with a little shelf wear and a few small faint scratches, measuring 2 in. height x 3 in. diameter with an acid etched crown mark on the base.
