A stylish vintage objet d'art from Blue Mountain Pottery. This glazed redware pottery piece is so retro with great color variations and a mid century design with a great round handle. It is an amusing design play on the old candlesticks. The bottom is hollow and open, it is not a vase. The decorative piece measures approximately 7" tall x 7.5" wide and is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
A nice example of BMP and a great addition to the Canadian Pottery collection or for the mid century pottery home decor. Check out my other Blue Mountain Pottery collectibles.
From Wikipedia: Blue Mountain Pottery (1953-2004) items feature a unique, trademarked glazing process known as "reflowing decorating." Two different liquid glazes, one light and one dark in colour, were applied. During the firing process the glazes would run, creating streaking patterns unique to each piece.
