1950 Dupont Family Booklet

An extremely rare booklet from the Du Pont Family reunion in 1950. The souvenir booklet commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Du Pont's arriving in the U.S. on January 1, 1800. The oversized booklet has five double sided pages and was copyrighted in 1949 by Pierre S. Du Pont, Wilmington, Delaware, Printed in the U.S.A. Included are news clippings of the celebratory reunion held January 1, 1950, one article documents the three souvenirs given to the participants, including this booklet! The booklet is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear and measures approximately 12 1/2" x 9 1/2".

The souvenirs were taken away from the part....the second item was a. booklet of scenes of historic interest to the family. The pictures showed the old DuPont powder mills, the first office building, the "American Eagle", and a few other subjects from the family's early history in this country.
