Vintage Elephant Cast Iron Nutcracker

Offered is an almost antique, vintage elephant nutcracker. The elephant is made of enameled cast iron, with an Art Deco styling and hand painted decoration. Attributed to Vendix (a.k.a The National Sewing Machine Company, Belvedere, Il.), circa 1920s-1940, the red paint remains bold and bright with age appropriate wear as seen in the photos. He is missing his tail and has rust which adds to the vintage appeal. This heavy cast iron nutcracker measures approximately 9 3/4” long, 4 1/2” tall and 2 1/2” wide.
