A rare vintage Family Combination Syringe Kit made by Davol Rubber Company, Providence, Rhode Island. The circa 1940s enema/douche kit includes with its original attachments in its original cardboard box. The printing on the blue and white box lid has great graphics; the front panel of the box lid says 2 quart capacity bag, item no. 40." The rubber bag has the round "FAMILY - Davol Rubber Company, Prov. R. I." logo embossed on the front, and "Made in the United States of America" is embossed on the back of the bottom hanging hole. The bag also has a small area of embossed scroll like work around the neck and on the front above the "Family" name. The ribbed red tubing measures more than 4 1/2' in length, is heavy gauged. There are two black attachment nozzles included, the longer measures almost 6" long and 1/2" thick at the rounded end. The shorter nozzle is approximately 3" long with one opening at the end. Also included is a white stopper. This item appears used, the rubber bag is still supple with no visible holes or cracks. The box lid and bottom are in good condition; the underside of the box is torn. The handwritten price of $1.39 is on the bottom of the box.
