From the title page: A complete story of Panama, as well as the history, purpose and promise of its world-famous canal-the most gigantic engineering undertaking since the dawn of time.
With over 600 B&W photos and 17 color illustrations including a map of the Canal Zone. The oversized book has red cloth covers with gilt lettering with a color paste down on the front cover. In good antique condition with cover staining and wear. Interior ink inscription, clean interior pages. The book measures approximately 11 5/8" x 9" x 1 1/4".
