Offered is an antique, German edition of a Charles Dickens' novel, Barnaby Rudge (originally published in 1841). This edition as translated and edited by Paul Heichen, the second edition, volume 1. Published by Albin Schirmer, Naumburg, Germany; circa late 19th century. 594 pages
The hardcover book has a beautifully decorated cover and spine. In good vintage condition with a tear at the bottom of the spine and edge wear. A previous owner's signature in ink. In addition, there are filing codes in pencil on last page and interior back cover.
There is a stamp on the title page, in German, when translated says: Please return to the Seamen's Home, Bremerhaven Schifferstr. 55.
