An antique jewel box with a silk interior. This lovely jewel box was made for M. Murguía S.A. Joyería; Lima, Peru. The maroon red leather covered box features a cream-colored silk and velveteen interior. The store logo is on the interior lid. A clam shell style box with hinge and a push button clasp. The box is in good vintage condition with wear (see photos); measures approximately 3 3/4" long x 2 1/2" wide x 1" tall; the narrow jewel split is approximately 2 1/4" long--seems fitting for a brooch.
