Antique Red Transferware Plate - Rare Watteau

Offered is an antique red transfer ware plate. This ceramic red transfer plate features a lovely courting scene and has a reticulated edging that is very lovely.

This rare circa late 1800s, souvenir plate is marked V. B. (Villeroy and Boch?) Watteau with a number 3. Imprinted is says L 22.

Plate measures 8 3/4" in diameter and is a very pretty antique piece with no chips, some hairline cracks on reverse, with surface scratching and light crazing, and finish loss. A lovely antique plate for the collector.
