A midcentury book from the National Geographic Society, Indians of the Americas. The 1963 sixth printing of the 1955 volume in the National Geographic Story of Man Library. The hardcover book includes 149 paintings by W. Langdon Kihn and HM Herget, 115 color photos, and 130 B&W photos, maps, drawings and diagrams. The book is in very good vintage condition free of writing, marks, tears or folds; light soiling. Dust jacket is is tattered, however is now covered in protective mylar. The book measures approximately 10 1/2" x 7 1/2", 431 pages including index.
