Vintage Fabric Doll in a Woven Papoose

The vintage fabic doll is in a woven papoose and has such a nice face. All fabric doll sits nicely in the woven basket papoose. In vintage condition with some yarn hair loss, the doll and clothes are heavily soiled and the papoose has wear along the edging and the back loops have worn open. The doll stitches appear to be machine made, not by hand and has an older safety pin closing the front jacket

A rare and exciting find, hard to date as I couldn't find another like it! The face of the doll makes me think it is circa 1920-1940, The basket work is high quality, multiple thin layers of wood was used the make the papoose puffy. The doll and papoose measure 11" tall and 6 1/2" wide hand to hand.
