A rare, vintage glass peanut butter jar with original label. The clear glass jar is in a fantastic art deco style, with an orange metal lid; the lid has its price stamp; circa 1950s. The underside of the jar is embossed, design patent pending; 10. The label is for the "Finast Pure Peanut Butter, Mfd only from No. 1 grade peanuts, NET WT., 2 LBS., Distributed only by First National Stores, Inc., Boston, Mass. The jar measures approximately 6 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide; in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks; age related finish issues. The metal lids screw on and off easily.
