Vintage Maimonides Vase - McCoy Pottery, Schering Pharmaceutical, Rx Promotional Advertising, secundum artem, Medical Collectible

This is a vintage Maimonides vase. The vase was made in the 1960's by the McCoy Pottery for the Schering Pharmaceutical Company as an RX promotional advertising jar. It is marked Schering on the cork bottom.

The brown ceramic jar has a turquoise glaze interior and the exterior features nice raised designs including a drawing of Maimonides and the the dates (1135 - 1204), a large "RX" sign and the words "secundem artem". The jar measures approximately 5 1/8" x slightly less than 5" wide.

The vase is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Wear commensurate with age. The cork bottom has broken away in some areas.

A wonderful pharmaceutical or medical collectible.
