A rare, vintage Musical Powder Box set. The metal, powder-blue vanity set features two mirrored, lidded compartments for holding loose face powder, powder puffs, or whatnots. The insets are integrated with a wind-up music box. When the music plays or a drawer is operated, the small, magnetic ballerina figure twirls (or tries to!) in front of the vanity mirror. Made in Japan
In good vintage condition, with age related wear (see photos). The backing mirror surface is aged, and the on off switch doesn't respond. The music box plays, but I haven't identified the tune. The piece measures approximately 12" wide x 4.5" deep x 5" tall. To add to the rarity, the original box is included!
