A rare, vintage 1940 New York World's Fair locket. The heart shaped pendant features the logo of the 1939-1940 World's Fair, held in Queens, NY. The necklace, in its original box, includes a chain and is labeled 1/20 - 12K GF on Sterling, although there is a disclaimer on the back necklace pouch stating the metal did not assay sterling silver. The pendant measures approximately 1" tall x 7/8" wide; the chain measures approximately 16" long with a spring clasp. Piece weighs approximately 6 grams.
