Offered is a vintage Wedgwood The Old State House Boston souvenir plate. This British Staffordshire transferware plate features the building and a pretty floral border. This rare red and white plate imprinted Wedgwood was Made in England by Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston, England. Sole importers, Jones, McDuffee and Stratton, Boston. The historic plate measures approximately 10 1/4" in diameter with no cracks or chips; with minor surface scratching.
The reverse says, "The Old State House". The Boston Massacre (1770) on King Street (now State Street) occurred in the shadow of the Old State House. Produced exclusively for the Jordan Marsh Company.
