Vintage Silverplate Candlesticks by Jennings Brother Bridgeport Connecticut
This is an ornate pair of vintage silverplate candlesticks. Made by the always impressive Jennings Brothers Foundry, marked JB 2537. The candle holders feature an ornate design, including various fruit and vegetables, and a wonderful patina. The candlesticks measure approximately 5 1/4" high, the base is approximately 5" wide. The candle width opening is 1" for a standard taper. They are in good vintage condition with evidence of age (including several dents, hard to notice, I had to look for them),tarnished patinawhich I love, you could choose to polish.
Lovely, traditional and highly detailed from a high quality maker. Date is unknown, factory was started in the late 1800s and went out of business in the 1950s. The Bridgeport, Connecticut forge was known for its utilitarian works of art.
