Offered is a vintage Wedgwood The Washington Elm-Cambridge souvenir plate. This British Staffordshire transferware plate features the church and a pretty floral border. This rare red and white plate imprinted Wedgwood was Made in England by Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston, England. Sole importers, Jones, McDuffee and Stratton, Boston. The historic plate measures approximately 10 1/4" in diameter with no cracks or chips; with minor surface scratching.
The reverse says, "The Washington Elm-Cambridge". The site of the Washington Elm, under which Washington took command of the Continental Army in 1775. Produced exclusively for the Jordan Marsh Company.
