Offered is a vintage Wedgwood USS Constitution souvenir plate. This British Staffordshire transferware plate features the two ships in battle, Constitution and the Guerriere. This rare red and white plate imprinted Wedgwood was Made in England by Wedgwood of Etruria , England. Sole importers, Jones, McDuffee and Stratton, Boston. The historic plate measures approximately 10 3/8" in diameter with no cracks; with minor surface scratching and edge chipping.
The reverse says, "Washington Bicentennial Plates", Old Ironsides in Chase; "Sponsored and copyrighted 1932 by the N.S.D.A.R., Memorial Continental Hall, Washington, D.C.". Also is the Daughters of the American Revolution logo.
